European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development
EAFRD funding is made up of a number of distinct elements, a small proportion of which is being made available to LEP areas through the EU SIF processes as part of a wider Growth Programme.
The Growth Programme is explained on GOV.UK.
On these pages you can also find general eligibility criteria and a description of the grants that will be available through the EAFRD element of EU SIF funding. Grant is available for the following types of business activity:
- Business development
- Food processing
- Rural tourism infrastructure
These grants are not available everywhere, all of the time. The grants become available in tranches but only in those LEP areas that strategically want to offer them.
The Rural Growth Programme for the West of England LEP is now open for applications.
The closing date for Expressions of Interest is 31 May 2018.
We encourage businesses to apply, obtain and invest grants to support their start-up, expansion or growth plans. The West of England Rural Growth Fund Priorities are outlined here.
If the Full Application is successful all projects must be contracted by March 2019 and all projects completed, paid for and grant claims submitted by 31 December 2020.
Please see the link to the RPA Website to view the handbooks for the live calls and the Expression of Interest Form. Guidance notes, details on how to apply and tips for the applicants can be found here:
This grant programme sits alongside the existing LEADER programme and other European Union Funds.
If applicants are unsure that they are eligible you can contact GPEnquiries@rpa.gsi.gov.uk or call 03000 200 301.
