All business members involved in this decision making structure are required to adhere to a Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Specifically, this relates to the LEP Board and the West of England Investment Board but the document contains principles applicable to the LEP’s wider business membership or those purporting to speak on behalf of the LEP. For the other decision making body within the One Front Door governance, the Strategic Leaders Board, the constitution of that body and the respective Council arrangements for declaring and managing interests applies.
Business Nominations Committee
On behalf the of the West of England business community, the Business Nominations Committee nominates and selects business representatives for those bodies in the LEP organisation that require them, in accordance with those bodies’ terms of reference and any other specific criteria. This is an open and accountable process that applies to business membership of all LEP groups, and is also applicable to the West of England Investment Board. The Business Nominations Committee Terms of Reference include a description of the nominations process.
Information about future West of England meetings in the new municipal year which will begin in May 2017 will appear here.
