Bristol Airport passenger numbers soar
The number of passengers flying from Bristol Airport increased in 2013 for the fourth year in a row.
Figures show 6.1 million people used the airport in 2013, up 3.4% from 2012. New destinations launched last year included Frankfurt, Hamburg, Milan, Reykjavik and Marrakesh.
Bristol is the UK’s fifth largest airport outside of London. The airport is aiming for even higher numbers this year with new routes already announced to Shannon and Stockholm.
